Mayukh Chowdhury (Prasad Roy) was born in present day Bangladesh. Arrived in Calcutta as a teenager. After matriculating from Bhabanipur Mitra Institution School in 1942, he joined the Government Arts College in the Department of Fine Arts. He excelled in swimming, football and boxing. His adventure stories and comics characters are remarkable. His first comics were published in 1972 in Sandesh. He himself was very brave and rebellious, which can be seen in the characters he created. Worked as a freelance artist and writer. In books of various publications including Sandesh, Shukatara, Kishore Bharati Patrika. He died on 30 October 1996 at Shambhunath Pandit Hospital due to financial difficulties and negligence.
